Atlanta is in Georgia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Atlanta follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Overall 2/5 stars. Iβve heard so much about UMI so I decided to give it a try. I had the Madai carpaccio, the spicy tuna crispy rice, the ottoro caviar, and the hamachi caviar. As well as a glass of white wine. The apps were extremely underwhelming, I am very surprised the crispy rice is popular, itβs nothing special in my opinion. The Madai was not good. The ottoro caviar and hamachi caviar were really good, but not good enough to justify the price point. The service was alright. Our server was a guy and he started off strong, but then fell flat. He was sassy which I typically donβt mind, but made comments that came off as overbearingly sassy, which came across in a bad light. Ambiance is great! They were very accommodating as we came late to our reservation. Overall It was good to try out UMI since Iβve heard a lot about it, but unfortunately it did not live up to the hype.

Great experience! The food and drinks were fresh, flavorful, and well prepared, and the service was friendly and attentive throughout our visit. Everything came out quickly, and we had no complaints. Iβd definitely come back and would recommend this place to anyone looking for good sushi.

Made a reservation at Umi to celebrate my birthday with my girlfriend and we were seated promptly upon arrival. Our waiter was friendly and asked if we were celebrating anything. I mentioned it was my birthday, he acknowledged it, and that was pretty much the extent of it. I expected the atmosphere to feel a little more intimate, but we were seated very close to several other tables and it was fairly loud. To be fair, it was busy for a Tuesday night, so thatβs understandable. For cocktails, we ordered the lychee martini and the ceremonial punch since Iβm a matcha fan. The drinks were decent, but not particularly memorable. My girlfriend actually preferred the lychee martini she had previously at Nobu. For food, we ordered the spicy tuna crispy rice, lobster tempura roll, and spicy tuna roll. The crispy rice and lobster roll were good, but nothing that really stood out. The spicy tuna roll was much spicier than expected compared to what Iβve had at other sushi restaurants. Service overall felt a bit transactional. Our drinks were refilled, but interactions felt very quick and impersonal. When we asked for suggestions, the responses were brief and didnβt really add much to the ex

The food was incredible. We ordered the Wagu nigiri, Sake aioli nigiri, Lobster Toban-yaki, Crispy rice, seaweed salad and spider roll. For desert we got the chocolate bento box which is similar to lava cake with green tea ice cream. The Hakuto cocktail was also divine. The first three are a must! The only downside is itβs extremely dark and loud.

My favorite sushi restaurant period. We have been going here almost weekly for the last 7-8 years. We prefer to sit at the sushi bar when itβs just the two of us and order as much as we can eat. Our usuals include yellowtail jalapeΓ±o, miso soup, spicy tuna crispy rice & edamame. This is all then followed with sashimi, nigiri, signature nigiri and sometimes a lobster tobanyaki. Everythingβ¦ and I mean EVERYTHING is AMAZING. I can honestly say Iβve never had a single thing I didnβt like or a day when anything wasnβt beyond perfect. The only downside is that I love every single dessert and have room for only 1 or 2 each time. The chocolate kyu, angel food cake, green tea ice cream + chocolate soufflΓ©, donutβ¦ ALL THE BEST DESSERTS. Out of all the restaurants in Atlanta- Umiβs the best. Iβve also been to M upstairs (10000000/10) and love Himitsu as well but I wanted this review to only be for Umi.
